  • ICE 3000 Series

    ICE3009 - Pole/Zero

The ICE3009 subsystem is an agile filter for the VHF-L, VHF-H and UHF frequency bands. It allows operation of a number of transceivers in a cosite environment. The VHF/UHF Filter provides multiple poles of RF selectivity to reduce broadband noise in transmit mode of operation and to reduce interfering signals at the transceiver’s RF input in receive mode at Have Quick II/IIa and SATURN tuning speeds. This design incorporates a flexible control scheme that can be configured at the factory for various radio interfaces (ARC-210, ARC-231, ARINC 429, etc.). The design is highly integrated and includes all filters, amplifiers, power supply, transmit and receive switching (including a bypass mode), and Built-in-Test (BIT). A mounting tray is available as an option for easy incorporation on your platform. This system is qualified for military applications. Cost-effective modifications are available on the ICE3009. • Instrumentation Amplifiers

HIGH-POWER RADIO FREQUENCY (RF) AND MICROWAVE AMPLIFIERS, TWTA AND SOLID STATE - Communications & Power Industries

electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) high-intensity radiated field (HIRF) testing, military testing, electronic warfare simulation and scientific applications are based on the same switched-mode power supply technology as its rugged amplifiers. As a result, these instrumentation amplifiers have all the same performance and reliability advantages as the rugged product line, but have been neatly re-packaged into compact, lightweight and affordable rack-mountable units more suitable for less demanding physical environments. CPI TMD's new modular design (the PTCM range) has many user benefits, including advanced self-diagnostics, ethernet interfaces, remote management, VSWR protection and plug and play field replaceable power supplies.

  • Preamplifiers

    LNA Series - Teseq AG

Low noise amplifier with 12.5 dB of gain covering the nominal frequency range 1 MHz to 3 GHz and can be used in the range from 200 kHz to 4 GHz. With its high gain and low noise figure, it will significantly increase the sensitivity of virtually all spectrum analyzers and other RF measuring instruments. All measuring instruments have a 'noise figure', which is a measure of how good the instrument is at measuring low level signals, the lower this figure, the better, although the lowest signal level will still be governed by the measurement bandwidth. A typical spectrum analyzer may have a noise figure of 20 dB or more, whereas a typical receiver may have a noise figure of 10 dB. The preamplifier has a noise figure of typically 4 dB, significantly enhancing the low level performance of such instruments, enabling signals that were previously masked by noise to be seen.

  • VECTOR-GUN HANDHELD DIRECTION FINDING ANTENNA SYSTEM

    HFDF - National RF, Inc

National RF's Type HFDF active directional antenna system consists of a high gain RF amplifier coupled to a tunable Faraday shielded loop antenna. Several loop antenna assemblies are available to provide coverage of frequencies in the HF and low VHF spectrum. Due to the nature of a Faraday shielded loop, the antenna exhibits a sharp null through the diametric center of the loop. This null is used to determine the direction of incoming radio signals or to locate electrical noise being radiated from some source. The internal high gain amplifier is used to compensate for the inherent inefficiency of the actual loop at the operating frequency. Overall, the system dynamic response is about +6 dB as compared to the dynamic response of a dipole. To aid in the direction finding process on strong signals, an internal 30 DB attenuator is provided. As the loop antenna presents a bi-directional response, tri-angulation may be required to eliminate the ambiguous signal direction. The line of site of the incoming signal is determined by listening for a signal null on the receiver or by watching the receiver’s S-meter.
